SYNELCO is leader in Greece again in the sector of the applied high technology in the food industry. SYNELCO designed and constructed, a new fully automated ultrafiltration plant (UF), for on-line production of strained yoghurt (Greek type).

The ultrafiltration in producing strained yoghurt is the peak technology and has many advantages over other methods currently used, as follows:
• Smooth and creamy texture of the final product.
• Improved taste of the final product.
• Increased yield up to 5%, due to high retention of the whey proteins.
• Fat content from 0,1% to 10%, with no effects on quality that come by adding cream after concentration.

We point out that our plants are designed and constructed by engineers and technicians of SYNELCO at the company’s branch store in Athens. The plant is skid-mounted on a stainless steel frame, it has been installed and already operates in a great dairy industry in the northern Greece.
